13 years a TCM customer - lucky for some
5 February 2008
Chances are you will have recently walked on or driven over a Peter Savage product. Don’t worry that’s the idea. Peter Savage has a reputation for strong, robust products; built to the highest standards; build to last. In fact just like their TCM fork lift trucks – and they should know, they’ve been a TCM buyer for 13 years. So what makes TCM so good?

‘Business is brisk’ were almost the first words out of the mouth of Brian Worthington, managing director of Nuneaton-based company Peter Savage Limited. The midlands manufacturer and supplier of specialist drainage products produces everything in drainage from domestic manhole covers to recessed heavy duty solid top ducting for RAF bases.
And it’s not just builders’ merchants and architect-specified specialist projects that have been keeping business brisk at Peter Savage. The Olympics in Athens (and soon to be London) and the training ground at Chelsea have all seen action from this specialist drainage supplier.
The site at Nuneaton is busy receiving goods inwards for its suppliers which include overseas containers from steel suppliers and many other items, it also copes with loading up to a dozen of their own/subcontract vehicles delivering goods throughout the UK.
Brian Worthington is a man proud of the company’s long association with TCM: “Our first TCM fork lift truck was delivered in 1994. We have been a TCM only site ever since and never looked back”.
“We have 6 TCM fork lifts at Nuneaton, the trucks are very reliable and robust. We like things to be well made, built to last. We operate the trucks heavily from 8am to 5pm and expect them to perform. And they certainly do”.
Peter Savage has the iNOMA FG25 and FG30 with a 3700mm two stage mast. The trucks are kept busy on block stacking and pallet racking in the yard and moving materials and finished product in a 12,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.
The boom in building in the UK is creating brisk business for this company and TCM are proud to supply the company with materials handling equipment over such a long period of time. Overtime you could expect some problems – but that has not been the case with TCM backed up with excellent service from local dealer Angus Lift Trucks.
Brian Worthington continued: “We pride ourselves on quality. TCM is a worthy and valued supplier for us and we look forward to many more years of reliable service and performance”.
